GGTU Banquet 2016 a Huge Success

By every measure the GGTU Banquet2016 was an unprecedented success.
In terms of number of attendees, number of happy kids, donated items, sponsored items, amount of fun, number of raffled items, amount of dollars earned for the fisheries it was over and above anyone’s expectations. An unprecedented success.
For those of you who were our guests. A VERY BIG THANK YOU for being there, for supporting us, for bringing your kids, your friends, your family and your good vibes. We really, truly appreciate your patience with us as our rudimentary system which worked well for in the past for190 guests began to unravel as we approached 300 folks, then totally overheated at around 350 guests and was on auxiliary power as we hit the wall at 400. And that’s when our team of highly motivated, totally awesome unpaid volunteers got out, put the hubs in, jammed it into 4 wheel drive, low range AND BUSTED THROUGH.
How awesome are they? It was one heck of a party. If you were there it was total and absolute fun. If you weren’t there standby because we’re going to rebuild the transmission, get a new, higher horsepower engine, put on some beefier tires and ROCK IT FOR BANQUET17!!!!
Don’t touch that dial, stayed tuned and check in once in awhile as we continue to do George Grant TU’s good work of keeping you informed on what’s happening with our rivers, streams and lakes, with FWP, with regulations and with all things fish. It’s says Trout Unlimited but GGTU is about all the fish.
We’ll stay engaged and informed if you continue to support and encourage us. The folks in SW Montana are good solid people who love the outdoors. GGTU SUPPORTS YOU.
